Revell 04160 172 Messerschmitt BF109 G-10 – Metro Hobbies

The Tiger II, developed in 1943, unofficially also known as the King Tiger, was mass-produced at Henschel from 1944. The King Tiger combined the demands for armor protection and firepower in an outstanding way. The frontal armor of up to 150 mm thickness could not be penetrated by projectiles from the on-board cannons of enemy main battle tanks. The sides of the hull were armored up to 80 mm thick. Despite several massive Allied bombing raids on the Henschel factory in Kassel, a total of 492 Tiger IIs were delivered to the troops, including the prototypes and 50 vehicles equipped with a Porsche tower. But not all of them reached the front units. A large number of the Tiger IIs were lost due to drive problems resulting from the high overall weight or simply from a lack of fuel. Features
